The Art of Journaling
A few years ago, I started journaling daily in a desperate attempt to organize my chaotic thoughts. I was stuck in a never-ending spiral of negative discourse. Eventually, those thoughts started to affect all aspects of my daily life. I had to find a way to let them out, in a non-destructive way.

An image is worth a thousand words. In my creative process, I take it quite literally. I transform my thoughts into paintings, expressed in a visual diary through abstract writing.

Words can be beautiful, seducing and poetic, but don't really mean anything if they are not followed by an action. They can also be harsh and destructive, vessels of intense emotions. The idea is to chose them wisely, in the complete silence of creation.

What is soul work?
Soul stands for the first four letters of my last name. Soul work comes from a vital and intrinsic need to address all the negativity we hold within our soul, such as anger, desire and childhood trauma. In order to heal and become an improved version of ourselves, we should learn to recognize that pain through self-reflection and self-love instead of perpetuating a never-ending spiral of suffering.
Through the painful process of growth fueled by an inevitable artistic expression, I found comfort in accepting who I really was under the mask I once thought made me happy.
